Meet The Owner

Ryan Grube, EA, CPB

I developed a passion for business and entrepreneurship at a young age. As a child, when my friends were out playing in the snow, I was out with my shovel and making a few dollars to pay for my video game hobby and cannolis from the shop down the street. I learned early what an honest dollar meant, as well as the value in hard work and raising yourself up to accomplish goals. Later, I worked at a local restaurant for 12 years, where I was a dishwasher, a cook and eventually a manager. The restaurant business can be a challenging environment, but I learned so much about service to others and about making the customer happy at all costs.

After high school I graduated from Rutgers University with a dual degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2012, I joined a local CPA firm, where I cut my teeth in the accounting world. At that time, I primarily worked in the Audit and Tax department and worked to expand the business and was very hands-on with my customers. Being out in the field and not always working from the office gave me a valuable perspective on my clients, and in them I saw myself – a business owner doing their best to be successful despite challenges and complexities of the business world.

This is where I met my good friend and later my business partner, Andrew Jones. After working together for some time, Andrew and I were separated after following different opportunities in private industry. Then one day, we got to talking about doing what we both always knew we were destined to do – go into business together and form a company we could stand behind and be proud of, that we could build from the ground up. A dream was realized for both of us. This is how A & R Bookkeeping and Tax Services was born, in 2017. Since our business’s inception, we have devoted ourselves to helping and educating our clients and business partners. I use the word “partner” purposefully, as I want to be as much a part of the success of your business as I am with my own. Your success is directly tied to my own, so your business becomes my priority.
